I don’t know if they will have predetermined layouts for the races; BP might know that answer, but in Toledo currently we change the layout once a month. I would think there would be a special layout just for that race so locals don’t have too much of an advantage. But come out and race if you’d like, we run the UF1 rules but limit car width to 180 (mainly to keep it a straight axle class) and we use the Pardus tire as spec. We usually get 12-16 F1’s almost every weekend so there is pretty good competition, come on out and check it out.

They're back in stock at F1paintlab, $40 with shipping.

I just ordered a set.

I just bought a F109 with a F104 front end set up. The question is if I buy a set of tires from F1paintlab what rims should I get for it? Are they all the same hex setup? Should I order f104 or 3racing FGX? I will not get the car until next week and I am ordering things for it.

Thanks Chris

F103 and F104 are 14mm, they will fit the F109.

FGX and F10 are both 12mm will not fit the F109.

I'm running 48p now. I'm running 75/21. If you run 64p, that would be 100/28. It will give you enough room to run from the low 4s to the low 3s/high 2s easily depending on pinion choice.

Did some extensive testing @ Hot Slots this weekend with the 104V2. Got it setup nicely using a combination of Rob K's and the TQ RC setup sheets as a baseline.

Tried both the TCS tires and the Pardus. Pardus glaze over after about 15-20 laps and become a chore to drive. TCS stay perfectly consistant for as long as my 4200mah battery ran. Pretty interesting testing them back to back. May have to try moving my battery further back to try and eliminate build-up on the front tires. Rick Vessel tried them on his F1R with little/no build up.

Default Feb 9/10 Event

After consulting with Brad, we will have a fairly fast flowing layout for you guys on the 9/10, possibly just fliping our current layout end for end.

Ran the Pardus spec tires Saturday night. Traction rolled all over the track! VERY different from the TCS tires. Never got it dialed in, was VERY difficult to drive. The Pardus tires seemed to be a lot more consistent than the TCS tires though. The TCS tires get progressively worse throughout the run, whereas the Pardus felt the same the entire run.

What helped was running the 1.8 T plate vs the 1.5. Thats as far as I got with it though, still need to make some major adjustments before its even capable of being raced. The 8 min main was long and painful, but I managed to get around the track without breaking anything, which is a win in my book!

Any other cars running the same tire there? Did they have any better luck?

There were three of us that had Pardus tires. One was an older set that was worn in and he did quite well. Mine were new and traction rolled out of the box so I ran a bead of CA on the outside edge of the sidewall and it stopped rolling and ran rather consistant but I suffered from turning late. And then there was the Captain.
