In my opinion those gears are weak, I've seen many cars stripping those in the middle of the race than any other brand. I guess because they are so thin there there's no room for little play in the gear mesh before they get ruined. You have to be sure your motor is shimmed perfectly (rotor).Also, if you're running 17.5 you'll want 92t or 96t spurs.
They are very strong and dont wear.

There's two problems with that statement. There's absolutely no existing material in earth that doesn't wear at this application (gears). Second the problem is that you have a pinion gear made of aluminium or titanium that is probably thicker than this spur. Which one u think is going to fail first. The problem is not the material but the design of the gear itself. I'm sure they may have different gear designs but their ultra-light design calls for minimal material use. This gear will fail in a less than optimal gear mesh. I've seen it many times. As I said before. It will be fine as long as your gear mesh and alignment are perfect. Remember that. Tc's are not that light and brushless motors carry a lot of power.

Might be the wrong spot to ask, but anyone have the rx4 full conversion for sale? I'm looking to upgrade my t4 '13 to this chassis and hinge pin setup. Pm me please. It looks like their site says out of stock.

The new chassis is showing a lot of promise. Quite a bit more rear bite than the previous version which now means it can be set up more aggressively. Probably worth the wait.

Can someone explain the pros/cons to using hard vs. medium steering arms? I suspect the mediums will flex more and be more resilient against impacts, but what else? Are the hards more responsive? If so, is the difference even noticeable? The car is raced mostly on asphalt tracks, if that matters.

We'll have to look at it, but honestly it's probably not likely. I still don't have a '14 for myself and I am not totally sure I will take a plunge into one right now to see fitment, etc. I will try to measure one out from one of my buddies' cars.

w/o going into much detail, are you going to sell the newer version like now, where you can get just the lower/top plate separately, or the full conversion? I have bought the full conversion and got the car where I like it.
Or are you changing the suspension mounts too, and will have to buy as a full conversion?

And the gear is still on his car, maybe our track is is not so dusty or filled with little rocks, i don't know.
