That works depending on how much you need to offset the wheel. Of its .5 to 1mm then shims are ok. But as mentioned some wheels have a narrower hex and too many shims don't allow the hex to go all the way in the wheel. I shimmed mine 2mm and just barely had enough to grab.

I tried some aftermarket hexes. CSO I think, off of rcmarket. They didn't fit very well. Very tight fit over the drive pin and if I got them firmly on they rubbed against the bearing and/or steering block. If I backed them off to get clearance they didn't feel solidly on. I trashed them.

This has probably come up but where do people get those orange screws to use in the upper deck?

If the changes to the T4'14 give it just a little bit more mid-corner steering, especially without compromising much stability, XRay will have created the perfect touring car.

Running split front arm mounts and the 2-hole arms helped a lot with this for me.... your results may vary!
