Mine eventually split all the way though just in front of the plastic brackets and was dragging on the ground under braking making the front end 'skip'

Even though only 5mm thinner than the T3 bumper it felt softer than wool

I have bought a T3 hard foam bumper and have shaved it down to the same thickness as the T4 and drilled some 12mm holes in it to reduce the weight

I thought about doing that too but my concern is the "hardness" of the material. There is a lot of crashing in our club racing and my concern is is the hard bumper is too hard and would just transfer the impact to the chassis rather than absorb the energy. Did drillng the holes or cutting it down help soften it a bit?

How much do they weigh?

I have spent ages trying to balance my car and keep the weight distribution even, I don't want to add another 10g etc and hang it out front as it really does effect handling.

Not really.

I'm considering turning the holes into slots with a Dremel cutting wheel.

Yes, they cover more of the blade than the Xray Aluminum or spring steel outdrives. Similar to the Side Piece units.

Anyone having problems fitting a speed passion motor without ur rotor hitting the battery? Its not touching it but the gap is around 0,5 mm... The motor is stock out of box. A friend of mine was running a LRP motor and the rotor already was scrubbing against the battery cause of the flex of the car. when is the new motor mount comming?

Big fan of xray quality and never had any problems with the T3 except for those first servo flexing (according to them not, but they made a better one a month later) mounts.

Default Xray T4 V2

Does anyone know when the Xray T4 V2 will be released? Judging by the pictures of the team drivers cars on the race report on their site i would say this is what was used at the DHI cup this weekend...

It's on www.teamxray.com - has pictures from in the pits of various team drivers and their cars. All the cars however have bodyshells on, which to me is a sure sign they are trying some new parts which are obviously different. Usually when they have pictures from pit tables it's of the cars with shells off, why would they not want to show their product off!

exactly my thoughts!

And to add to that before this gets out of hand. Im not here to bash xray, cause its still the best car out there in my opinion! but i just wonder how its possible to mount my motor without having it scrubbing against the battery. (see post #2380) .

My motor (Team Powers) hits the battery. I just dremeled off about 1.5mm from the end of the shaft.
