So quick question, i was looking at Hagbergs ETS setup for carpet on petit rc and noticed some pics of his car, and i want to know why or whats the advantage of running like 6mm or 8mm spacers between the servo horn and the steering arm. The manual shows to use two 2mm spacers.

The extra spacers helps maintain the correct alignment of the steering rod when using a servo horn instead of the servo saver. You want that arm as straight as possible.

I'm racing the 18th, but no TC class. I'm having Gonzo paint me up a body. I think I'll attempt to run 3 classes on the last series race but we shall see. Can't wait to get it out there though!

Also, thanks for the tip guys regarding fan mounting.

Hey Pete. Much hobby has them. They don't have the storefront in Richmond Hill anymore. They only do online orders now, but it's closer than ordering from TQ.

My new kit has arrived! It is going to be a long night! I race on a small carpet track, any suggestions? The track measures 60 feet by 25 feet, very technical. Next months layout is full og 180 degree turns, no sweepers.

I've seen this type before where they drill out the holes on the shock tower and connected to each other. Easier and time saving. Was it Schumacher or Corally?

Are you talking about the upper shock mount holes?

I recently raced on a quite similar track with tons of grip:
+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

My car is the first placed one.
And the setup was the following:

Changes from Basic Carpet Setup:
heavier oil f&r: MuchMore 500 0% Rebound
(It's a permanent indoor carpet track so the grip levels are really high.
Hence the heavy shock oil.)
1.5° camber f&r
Front:
2mm Bumpsteer
1mm between shock tower and shock
1mm(instead of 2) on the inner bulkheads
Rear:
diff in the lower position
1mm(instead of 2) on the inner bulkheads

I think that would be a good starting point.

Thank for the setup advice!

Here is my big concern. The rear diff. I have always run the xray ball diff which was way too easy to adjust. Now, with a gear diff it seems like more of a hassle to switch. I have NO idea what oil to run as our track is small, fast, and technical. I need to power out of the turns quickly and carry power deep into the turn if I want to stay with the leaders.

Traction is so subjective. What I find to be high grip others may say med. How do I tell if I have the rear diff set correctly? Just run the kit oil and be happy?

The carpet is an indoor carper, not an RC carpet.
