It gives you a shorter car, 8mm. This transitions on the track to a car that works more like the Gen XL and the Xi did. The car can be ran Long/Short, Short/Short, or Short/Long. Altered Ego is Short/Long, Xti is Long/Short, the AE with the Xti pod is Short/Short. Wiita feels as if the Short/Short car is the best option for on the track performance, it produces a car that is a bit more reactive then the longer cars.
Would any one know all the PN's to make this conversion? Is it really only 2 parts that I would need? Top and lower pod plates?

What motor are you guys using with the short version?
Ive just gone from Xti transverse to inline and now to altered ego and the altered ego seems to be the easiest to drive. I'm running 10.5 so is that too much for the short/short?
Thanks

I have run an Altered Ego in the 'super short' version, with the standard Xti pod plate and the Altered Ego transverse chassis. It was a bit of an experiment to see how much of the weight of the car I could get directly in the center, at the pivot, so it would act less unsprung.
The car ran well on my local track in 17.5. We had low to medium-low traction on carpet. As for how it felt, with the same basic setup as my Gen-XL it was a hair more edgy, seeming to want to rotate harder on turn-in.
I still want to try a 'limo 1/12 car.' A full-length Xti chassis with a long Altered Ego pod. Might be the ticket at the IIC in October if the rug turns to fly paper again!

If you are trying to build other combinations of the Altered Ego car, please say which one. The one described above converts the Xti to the Xti Altered Ego. Good luck.

If your talking about the conversion, I didn't get it either. Life shouldn't be this complicated to run this great car. I needed the 3226 kit and 3211 kit to do the transverse Altered Ego setup as I understood it, even with this, it was confusing and online documentation is non-existant.
I just gave in and brought the complete Altered Ego kit, CRC3212 and sold my regular Xti.
