Ill have to check when I get home but I am pretty sure I did it the way the kit showed. I think if you do it the other way you wont be able to put the tire bolts in because they would hit the head of the clamp bolt

Been there, done that.

Although I don't have a CK25 (yet), I have always used longer screws than those that came with the CRC 1/12th and 1/10th kits to take advantage of all the threads machined into the hub. Haven't stripped one since...

Its an easy check, in the grand scheme itd be an easy fix. Im not sure the screws are long enough to hit, unless you're using the WGT & WGTR kit wheel screws. Those are longer than the 12th scale ones.

Thanks guys, I took it all apart tonight and put longer screws in and it seemed to work. Looks like I got a little lucky and didnt completely strip out the hub. I will get another one ordered for my box just in case

The looks of the CK25 has me thinking of picking up 12scale racing again. Have a worn Xi on the chelf, and it is the best 12scale car I've ever run. The CF25 looks very similar

Loved the adjustability of the front end on the Xi, will parts lik 3276 and 3277 fit on the CK25?

You are better off to go to the top of the electric on road forum, and select the "team and company" tab. Find the Company of Motor you run, and ask within. There is probably 20mm of rollout difference between brands, maybe more.

Is it normal for the new car to have lots of bump steer?

Yes, and you can adjust it away by raising the front roll center or raising the steering link mount on the spindle.

Thanks for the feed back.
So is it best to get the steering links as close to the same angle as the upper arms?

It might take a little more than that.
