I have two TCXX, I might need to get rid of one after IIC.

Where did you get the update kits from? I can't find one under 350.00. I've wanted to try the tcxx but I think I'm going with the A700L.

I'm on the HB Infantry Team. They have the upgrade kit in stock, I'm not sure why it's not available anywhere else yet?? Maybe I can ask tomorrow.

I am aware that even affects ackermann, but I wanted to get at least 26 degrees of steering maximum, like many other models ..
I think that removing thickness above the steeringarms and using a shorter arm (of the servo saver), I could have more maximum angle.
How thick you have over the steering arms ? And how long is the servo lever from hole to hole?
I use the HB alloy servo horn and space the ball joint 3mm out from the servo horn so the arm is straight and took a 2mm shim out from the steering crank. The turnbulkle will get close to the top deck but is clears ok. Like I said earlier I get 32degs each way.

Finally! two kits for 2 of my TCXX's

lots of cool changes. short shocks, towers shorter, lower deck is actually thicker than TCXX option chassis, and the motor mount is comparable to old tcx motor mount. Motor is raised higher and there is an extra mounting position. I have not tried it yet but it seems I can set pinion mesh without taking off the top deck.

I was a bit shocked that the shocks are actually the same size. They just have shorter caps!!
Overall the the car with updates seems better and faster.

I'll be working on active rear tow next. I want to try what the XRay and Serpent have been toying with.
Basically running front arms/hubs/spindles in the back linked to the bulkhead.

If you will be able to reproduce the the xray and serpent ARS for our tcxx, please post a pic. That would be great! :-)

Here's my first attempt, seems to work well. Looks like a good 1/2 degree of outward movement at least. More or less action depending on the chosen hole in the knuckle.
I tried to video it but can't really see the action.
I only did the Right side so far.

are you running a 0* c-hub in the back? if not, won't the caster effect handling?

I don't have any "0" C hubs so I put a L side "4" on for now. Not sure what the 4 degrees will really affect in the rear.

One issue I noticed is that the shock mount isn't as far out on the arm so you would need a softer spring. I normally run Yokomo Blue
