Default What ESC to get for racing mod?

I am new to mod racing. been racing stock 17.5 for awhile.

Just want to know what ESC to get. I would really like one that doesn't require hooking up to a laptop computer to adjust timing/turbo etc.

Which ESCs out there are capable of that and are generally reliable?

they are looking good. however, they both don't run fans. is there no over-heating issue?

from what i heard, the tekin RS/RS pro has over-heating problem when running mod because they don't have fans.

I would also like to ask if you know where Viper is located. USA? or somewhere in europe?

Then you have heard wrong. If they are overheating an RSpro then there setup is way off.

he is not way off , depending where you race at , in florida outdoors in the summer with the tekin , with out a fan yes it will run hot and it may over heat depending on the motor that you are running

LRP TC spec is a great mod esc , Im running the Original LRP TC spec and never had an issue with heat in florida.

If you don't want a laptop, Viper or LRP would be the way to go. I would go Viper, US company.

LRP uses nothing. They have a USB cable but have never released any updates.

how do you adjust timing/turbo at the track without using a laptop or a programming card?

Adjusting the LRP is through presets in the ESC. Using the manual and adjusting via button presses and corresponding light flashes on the ESC.

If you don't mind, what motor and FDR are you running with the LRP?

Viper?! Hahahahaha.

Get something made by Hobbywing, either an OEM or their V3.
