Exotek TC6TEK Chassis
#31
If im not mistaken i believe exotek answered that on page one early oct think
#32
Got mine today, i cant believe how narrow the chassis is
#33
With the roll center blocks bolted to the chassis with no shims, is the same as what roll center setting on stock kit
#35
So how much improvement is there with the exotek chassis over standard TC6?
Im thinking of upgrading but haven’t seen anything for how they go on a low-med bite asphalt surface.
Does anybody have feed back in this area?
Thanks!

No shims under blocks is equivalent to 3A on standard blocks. I personally wouldn't run them any higher than that on med grip asphalt.
So far the kit seems to be a massive upgrade in the traction department. The extra rear flex gives alot more rear traction than the standard kit which means the car can be pushed alot harder with confidence. The flex is very balanced left to right which makes the car more predictable and the narrow chassis means less scraping on sweepers.
The other big improvement is the ease of adjust-ability with the split and solid blocks. No more moving hinge pin blocks or binding arms etc. A refreshing change from the standard setup.
Hope that helps!

How will the servo be mounted to the chassis with the dual bellcrank? I see where it will mount inboard but cant tell from the pic how the outboard mounting will be
#38
I believe a single sided servo mount is being worked on.

Do you know when the dual servo saver system (in the 1st page)will be available by exotec racing or by associated? Maybe is it possible associated will be out with a new chassis and a steering system too?

PROS AND CONS re: Exotech Chasis...
Fit and finish is great and I don't have to fiddle with the suspension mounts getting loose.
I can make finer roll center changes with shims....
Chasis is set up to accept dual bell crank which IMO will be a big difference....
Cons: there isn't a noticable performance improvement when I put it on...
Pace is the same and fast laps are the same on Carpet....
The AE battery holder is alot more convenient than the exotek system....
I can't wait for the Exotek Dual crank system....

tc6 - tc6.1 - tc6.1 worlds car kit
Chassis is to setup to accept dual bell crank....but with which system the exotec chassis is compatible? You wrote that you put it on but maybe did you use an homemade dual bell crank system?
Thanks

I'm waiting on exotech to release their dual bell crank system... My opinion on the dual bell crank is driving every other car with this system... If you bought the exotek conversion, you will notice that the exotek chasis already has the holes for the dual bell crank system.

Is the exotek chassis really worth the money?

Depends. Do you need it? It's something you should determine by yourself.
