So no chance of BD knuckles in BD5 C-hubs then?
Think you're right they are HB.

Looking at his post again, Sammy says above the pics of his conversion that he is running HB front c-hubs. The BD knuckle is 21.9mm tall and the inside height of the BD5 knuckle is 20.9 So I guess of you want to to do some precision sanding or mill one side or both sides(top and bottom). Yes they will fit. Otherwise no.

Cheers for clearing that up mate, much appreciated. I think I'll get the dremel out and grind down some of my BD knuckles a little, just makes it easier for me to use my current driveshafts thats all.
Thanks again.

hey guys!
yeah your right guys, I am using the HB c-hubs. I ordered the BD5 c-hubs because...
i really really liked the idea of NOT having the drill out the outer arm hole for the hingepin. I was very excited to try it, direct bolt on sounds nice...NOPE!
The old BD knuckle would not fit in the new BD5 C-hub! The knuckle was too fat! I would have had to sand off or mill the old BD knuckle to get it right, so i said screw it and since i get a deal on HB parts, I used the HB C-hub and drilled the arm. Easier. Still used the old knuckle and my old driveshafts.
However I noticed the HB C-hub flexes like a son of a b----
I might chalkup and buy all the BD5 parts sooner than i expected.
If you can afford it, go with all BD5 parts, knuckles, c-hubs, driveshafts, kingpins.

Cheers man. The tyres are Sorex 28JB's. Its pretty much what everyone here in the UK runs on carpet, really good tyres.
This is the planned rear end of my new top deck. The front end is the same as on the one in the picture on the previous page.
Its gonna need some filing of the left-hand bulkhead and then it will mount in the screw holes that are usually for the layshaft holders. So, using 3mm spacers to get the right height this top deck will clamp down the layshaft now instead of the normal alloy pieces.
I'm hoping for a little more rear flex so I can increase the steering without worrying about rear traction.
What do you guys think?

The Yokomo steel drives for the SD drift cars are bulletproof. They fit the BD and are half price. Email them to confirm.

Hi all,
I have recently started running a BD chassis and have a couple of questions.
I haven't managed to find belts available anywhere, wondering if the BD5 belts (or any other chassis) will fit?
Is there a gear diff that fits the BD?
Does the BD5 steering conversion make much of a difference?
Thanks
Adrian.
