I run a 3mm chassis outdoors and it works great. The car feels really planted and stable and more consistent IMO, but only in conditions where grip is medium to high. I run the stock chassis on low grip tracks

Default Yokomo chassis

Blazer2

You are mistaken. Ians car has the standard BD chassis that comes in the Grainger kit.
The springs were the new(ish) Yokomo progressive - he used YS1460 Black.
Shocks have RS14 pistons and 450(f) and 400(r) oils.

There will be a setup sheet on the CML website very soon.

I'm using the Hardened yok chassis on asphalt but it need to be on med to high grip surface to work. Car feels more stable and reacts quicker than the standard chassis IMO..... And I've been using the HPI progressive springs....

Dude, Yokomo is releasing new BD chassis ( BD-002G ). That's why older version of BD chassis is hard to get in the past 4 months.

I already pre order BD-002G from www.pro-s-futaba.co.jp. I'm waiting it now, maybe next week will be arrive in my home.

R u looking differences on BD-002 and BD-002G ??
BD002G is same thickness as BD002 but made from differend compound of carbon so is harded to flex!!
You can see the difference both at your hands and at the track!!

I was using hard chassis at weekend on new track with low grip - had lots of push and then sliding on power. was forced to change to std after big crash and put mod bulkhead on - car much better, more predictable and better turn in. I always use hard on carpet, stops it flopping about from corner to corner.
