Yep, Andy East has retired. You can still buy his products through C-S Racing (who have a thread on this site) Set up advice etc can still be obtained for the V1.3 and AE2005B chassis'.

Its a big shame as a carbon tub chassis on the BD would be so good!

Hi Scho,
The enjoyment ran out big time when that happens its time to quit!
I have alot of ideas for the BD and SD that i would like to put in to action, i will need Andy out of retirement to help draw them up though!
Doing well and getting prepped for the Nationals is the first priority though, after that it will be time to play with bits and pieces!

i dont think he will return, i was told that he retired because lots of people were saying things about him because he did stock and wouldnt do anything else!!! so he got fed up of it and decided to stop but the chassis is still avalible for the sd.

I've been running mine with a front diff and center oneway. I'm back on asphalt now. So I probably wont get to run carpet again unless if it rains or til carpet season. Of course I could head up north to run more carpet if I wanted to. Or even test on carpet here.

have you tried the BD on carpet in stock/rubber? any "stiffness" issues. ill be racing up at a carpet track at the end of the month...wondering if you've tried that combination yet. thanks man.

No Chris I haven't. But I'm sure the flex of the chassis will help out on carpet with Rubber tires. The main important thing will be suspension tuning to get the most traction you can. I'd leave the sway bars off. But that's just me.. I remember running my 415 on carpet with 19t and rubber tires. We were running out doors. But it started to rain just before our mains. So we all decided to run indoor on the carpet track with rubber tires. We did. It was a blast! It got pretty slick out there.. hehe... But fun!!! Just wish they'd do more of that here in the USA (East Coast) instead of foams. But oh well..

Anyways goin back out there for the 2nd time on asphalt with the car. We'll see how she does....
