I just wanted to take a little time to start a thread regarding the new Hacker TensorIC ESC and Skalar motors. If anyone has any questions please ask away.

Skalar 10- MSRP- $84.99

A two-piece CNC machined motor housing from 7075 aluminum, with a design for maximum cooling, ensures that the engine can make over the entire duration of the race, the maximum torque and full power without having to make compromises. The adjustable timing plate on the back of the motor provides maximum flexibility and can be adjusted from 0 ° to +40 °. In conjunction with our TENSORIC10 controllers and a sensor cable this motor give you the perfect combination. The SKALAR10 motors, because of their U-shaped solder tabs they can be properly fitted and soldered in vehicles with limited space.

Of course, a SKALAR can be completely disassembled and all components are as spare parts available.

Skalar SC- MSRP $104.99

Specifically for the short course class, we have built a stronger version of our SKALAR 10 motors. We choose the 540'er engine size, as in some vehicles, there simply is not enough space for a 550 version. By using a high-strength sintered rotor with 4-pole magnet with 12.95 mm diameter, With the 4 Pole magnets this allows for more torque which the 4x4 vehicles require., the total power is transmitted through a 5mm shaft. The SKALARSC is the motor for all short course trucks!

This Skalar 8 brushless motor is our biggest motor from this series. Our test team is thrilled by the performance! The SKALAR8 has a ribbed housing T6 aluminum. The holes for the mounting of the engine were mounted so that it both with M3 motor screws, as well as M4 can be fitted in the vehicle. Inside, we use a 4-pole rotor, which is balanced to improve performance Motor also includes low friction ball bearings. As with all of our car motors in the Skalar series, this motors includes U shaped solder tabs.

Tensoric 10

A CNC milled from solid metal housing is used directly for cooling and effectively prevents the penetration of dust and splashing water.
To further improve the cooling performance a fan is supplied with 4 mounting holes. The initialization of the controller works with a simple keystroke.
The TENSORIC10 can be programmed directly via the SET button, or via an optional programming box.

Touring Car
 

For a setup for a 13.5T motor at Reedy Touring car race. I placed 3rd in the 13.5T class. Motor ran very cool and very powerful all weekend. The motor not only had great straight away speed but had tons of pull out of the corner. Here is the setup I was using.

Skalar 13.5T motor w/ 37 degrees of timing on the endbell.

Do you think we'll see an ESC made for 1/12 1S racing any time? (with 6V out)

Does the ESC have the two Sensor ports like the orion ?

I was sitting with Kyle at the Reedy Race - the unit looks nice. It has a metal case .. and comes with a fan in case you think it is necessary to use it (probably need for mod).
Yes- two sensor ports.
You program it through the sensor port too.. there is a hookup from the programming box to a sensor cable.

I will check into this. Expect an answer soon

With the Skalar 10 spec/ stock turn motors is there any factory timing or is 0 0 degrees

I have to admit I eye fondled the super pimp speed control at Reedy....
This has to be the best looking speed control I have seen....

I've got an almost new 13.5 that's looking for a good home. My motor situation changed recently, so I'm culling the herd.

The design of these motors is fantastic. The timing adjustment is super smooth, too.
