V2 endbell on Stock Motor

V2 endbell on Stock Motor
Hello everyone .,.
just wondering has anyone installed an Orion V2 Adaption Endbell to a Trinity based stock motor.
I having problems installing mine as the endbell is completely round in shape, it is not sitting flush on the motor can due to the 2 straight edges on the motor can ..
shape of motor can = (_)
shape of v2 endbell = O
so I would like to know how u guys have gotten around this problem...

You got the wrong one.....you need the one for epic based stocks...you might take it back and see if you can swap it or....call Orion and talk to Joe....I am sure he would get it fixed up for you.

I noticed that Speedtech RC only sells the one for TOP/ Orion style cans. I bet that caused a few issues.

looks like i'll have to get another endbell ... cos i got mine from overseas while on a holiday ... don't think they'll exchange it ,...
does anyone have the part number for the epic based v2 endbell then ??

Bought one of these for my Orion Katana 23T but sadly the slot for the timing lock wont fit. I have the one for the Orion/Yok can but it doesnt fit my Katana motor Anyone had the same problems?
Ive tried fitting it in my Atlas motor, goes in with out trouble. I havent tested it yet, i want to know if the Atlas can is the same as the Orion/Yok can.

Bought one and have run a few times and have put it through a dyno, here are the results.
Before V2 endbell
32,000rpm @7.2V
6.4 amp drawn
After V2 End Bell
30,000 rpm
3.4 amp drawn
So here are the running the motor at the track results.
Before the endbell the Monster was as any monster should be.
After the endbell I noticed that the top end wasn't as sharp, but the low end had more punch. How much more is marginal. I wouldn't use this endbell on large tracks, but for tight small tracks the endbell would definantly bring down your lap times around those corners. Also though with the endbell there will be one greater advantage. LESS MOTOR WEAR. So really it is up to you and track you run on. I will keep mine for some tight tracks,

so u got the endbell that fits the epic/trinity motor cans ... ??
if so can u give me the part number ... the orion site has no details on endbells ...
if anyone can point in any direction of a website where i can pick 1 up it'll be greatly appreciated ..

Shookie, I found the same thing too. My Yok based motor had peak Amps of 34,000 RPM and 7.6 Amps current draw before the adaptation endbell but after I only got 24,000RPM and 3.4 Amps. I never really got to test it at the track with the V2 endbell.
Has anybody here have tried messing up with the springs? ie harder on (+) and softer on (-) or try different brush compounds? If somebody got good results? please share

Amp Draw is the amount of Amperage the motor is pulling from the battery. The least amount possible is what you are looking for as it means your motor is efficant and isn;t wasting power.
Hoep that makes sence and is currect. If I am wrong please forgive me it is only what I have heard.
