i will be racing on an outdoor track that is small/medium in largeness in florida using a speed passion lpf and an epic duo 17.5 motor and a cyclone s. what is a recommended fdr to have to use that with the new beta 231 software? would a 5.54 or a 8.3 be acceptable to use without overheating

I have almost the same setup as you and I just ran software 230 last weekend with a 6.5 FDR and it is too low for my small/medium parking lot track. My motor went up to 200*. I geared it to 7.05 and it's good now...fast and temps around 140*. You will either be too overgeared or too undergeared. Spend a few bucks on gears instead of having to spend more on a new motor.
