Looks like the chat feature is going to be useless. There are a bunch of munchkins on there changing their names every 2 seconds and babling a bunch of junk.

Futureal... any way to lock that down. That's if you think it's worth the effort.

With this being Vegas, and the Odds makers willing to bet on anything, has anyone heard who the odds on favorites are and what's the line?

Thank you for clearing that up, Ian.

Why should a race in Nevada cost more than a race in Ohio, or Florida, or any other state?

Everything costs more in vegas. You dont think it costs more to rent a huge ballroom in vegas for a week than it does in say outside of Cleveland, or that Ghetto hotel where the snowbirds is at?

Do you think the race will get better exposure in Ohio or Las Vegas? Remember exposure is great for the hobby and the more people that see RC racing the more opportunity to grow it.

We could setup an IRC channel for chat, then it could be moderated.

Could someone clarify the brushless situation for me? I thought I heard that initially brushless was not going to be allowed in mod, but run in its own class instead. Recently I heard that the brushless class was cancelled due to a lack of registrants. So I assumed that meant no brushless would be run at the IIC. Please correct me if my assumption is wrong.

And good luck to all the northern Illinois racers out there at Vegas! Especially the IRP crew!

If they use ROAR rules as the base for the IIC rules then BL motor can run in Mod sedan and Mod 1/12th.

It seems like a race would get better exposure at an amusement park, Monster Truck show, NASCAR race, car show, State Fair, etc. I really don't think a bunch of adults who are there to gamble and ONLY gamble are really going to get too excited about a bunch of adults racing toy cars for bolwing trophies in a hotel ballroom. Not trying to put this race down, but I don't think any event that happens in the ballroom of any hotel is a big media event.
