thanks for the help. Ran car again last night. Absolute blast to drive. got the steering alot better now just need to learn not to blister tires coming out of turns. Always use to foam tire 1/12 and touring car so this is my first crack at rubber tire. My question is when saucing the tire how long do you let it set on there and then how long do you let it air dry after you wipe them down to run.
We have found, on high grip carpet
Black or Gold Tamiya springs are best
No side spring pre-load is best
Pre-load causes diffing on accel out of corners, this will make the rear feel loose
A proper VII carpet setup, on the right tires, will never be loose, and will not chatter
Heavier side damping will have a stabilizing effect, and additional steering response, however, if too heavy, can cause traction roll
On lower grip out-door tracks, softer springs, pre-loaded helps with stability

alright, when setting side spring tension. Do you do it with the chassis and rear pod level or when the car is at ride height? I switched to asc side spring and center spring. Between a blue and gold center and using 3.75lb side spring. 60k on damper tube.

AE Gold (Heaviest of AE springs) is similar to Tamiya Silver (Soft)
Set springs to just barely touching, with car placed on tires, ready to run
Lift front wheels, alternating sides to see, and adjust side spring setting
If diffing still occurs, back off more on the side springs, as much as necessary
60k side damper is on the heavy side, but if it's not traction rolling with that, then it's not a problem
We are using Tamiya TC center shock with AE TC springs

Our track in dallas is considered low to med grip. I am running 30wt for pitch, and I think 50 for roll and I am using black AE side springs. My car had tons of grip on saturday and was at one point an the verge of traction rolling. I am running

4.5mm ride height front to rear with 1.5mm droop
Pit 574 front 572 rear.
I had plenty of turning and more then enough rear traction. I couldn't get my car spinout if I tried. That is until I broke a side link and had rear wheel steering.

I had it happen, droop post, when I don't run a big washer on the post. When I run a big washer, like stock, have never had it happen.
Sometimes with small or no washer the top arm gets stuck on the bottom arm in a crash as well, seen that many many times. The top arm slides behind the droop post and gets stuck
