TC3 Drifting setup?
#31
Any suggestions on setting up the diffs? I've got the front set kinda loose and the rear as tight as I felt comfortable going. I didn't like how the Traxxas "Ralliestangdra" rolling stock worked on it, even regeared with a 16t Traxxas pinion, so I'm going to electrical tape a set of treaded TC tires until I can get a set of proper drift wheels and tires (HPI Vintage drift tires and Torque Thrust clones) and the afore mentioned AAR Cuda shell

I gotta tell you the Cyclone can drift rings round a TC3, I could never get mine setup right when I started drifting in '04, springs were the most important with non rubber tyres and camber was just final tuning
The best drifter I had was my ancient Losi Street Weapon, it just worked even with standard diffs but like before springs were the major tuning point, soft as possible up front and slightly stiffer rears - oil wasn't so important. I was so amazed by this car I started a drift forum for others in the UK
You'll love the cyclone once it's setup right
