In the Xray forum on the Xray site Mario Hudy said that "Xray will not build a shaft car" many time long ago, but once the rumor mill starts and because of the nature of the internet people kept bringin it up.

Correction : 3 (three) !!! The 1st is from Atsushi Hara (2000) with Yokomo MR-4TCW which I believe it's the 1st car with this drivetrain layout

4?! theres only been 3 WC events, each won by a belt driven chassis.

Doesnt mean too much though really, but if it can be used to shut a few of the 'shaft is better than belt' people up, its good enough for me!

This was posted today by Mario on the Xray site....

XRAY is very sensitive about TQM (Total Quality Management) which means there will not be any product released about which XRAY is not convinced it is ready to announce. The quality has first attention.
Though there will come very soon some very good news about the release date, so stay tuned

I for one, am ready for some "very good news" lol

I wonder when the say release date.... do they mean by kits ready to be shipped from the factory... or dealers are actually having them in stock.

Whoever told me it is late Feb, early March, I'm still hoping for that...... (got my fingers, toes crossed every day!!!)

I think that the very good news will be that when the date is announced...it will be available....just a hunch...they hear people complaining of shortages..it wouldnot surprise me in the least if they are just banking up kits and parts right now for the initial shipments to be sure to be able to satisfy demand....

I could be wrong...my prediction is based solely on pure speculation.....

I can't waitt o get my hands on one...but Im sure it will very much be worth the wait
