Of the folks running Xray T4s from 18-20 (with the ULP shocks), what are you doing to get the car down to minimum ride height when the tires start to swell?

You need to run taller shock towers.

With the T4 '20 I used the lower holes in the front arms to get the ride height once the tires balloon. I also inverted the shock collars, as needed, as one of the shock had the collar coming free of the threads. I also moved the shocks upper mount one hole more inside to account for the angle change. With new tires I used the normal shock positions. This was all done with the stock shock tower

I had to switch to the SLP shocks and the corresponding towers.

In order to get proper ride height and proper travel something that is usually overlooked, cut 2 / 2.5mm off the lower shock eyelet. There is still plenty of thread from shock shaft in shock. This allows the lower spring perch to sit lower and give more ride height adjustments. It also allows the proper amount of up-travel before the perch would bottom out on the bottom of the shock body.

Would a 2mm spacer between the perch and lower eye do the same thing?

It would not, in fact it would do the opposite. Cutting the top of the lower eyelet allowed the spring perch to sit lower. Doing this gives more threads at the top of the shock body to allow for a lower ride night to be achieved. It also allows for more up travel as that amount of “sag” in the suspension at running ride height was not intended in the original design.

OK so when you cut it would this measurement no longer be 1mm? It would be 3-3.5 (depending on how much you cut?)

Correct. The overall length of shock will stay the same. The length you reference will increase accordingly. There is still plenty of “grab” left from the lower eyelet onto the threads. Been running that way on my 19 for over a ear and a half and never had an issue
