as for the tires. i do like the way the d compound handles but not the wear characteristics on asphalt. the treads wear pretty fast and the slicks just dont hook up well. the slicks seem way too hard to be d compound. they take alot of heat to get to work. i bought a set and used them on all 4 corners and they really did not make any difference except a slower lap time. tried them with treads in the back and it was hell. nothing but push. ended up going back to treads all the way around. not sure why the slicks seem so hard even though they are the same compound.

HEY! hurry up with this announcement. its been long enough.

Anyone running a Tamiya TB-04 in VTA? Just curious, the car seems like it would weigh a ton....

Maybe there'll be a ban on belt-driven cars. :weird:

Here is a serious technical question.

I have the ballistic 25.5. I need a new endcap for it. The bearing broke and the timing sticker is shot due to trying to use heat to expand the aluminum to allow the bearing to come out. So is this a suitable/legal replacement? They do not have the one specifically listed for the ballistic.

Looks like it's the correct replacement. If not that then I don't know what you are supposed to use.

Yes, that is indeed the replacement

Ok thanks guys. Wasn't sure because the new one has a hole on the rear and mine was just solid.

New rule will allow Nitro VTA cars to compete with electrics, but only with the pull start Dynamite .12 and only indoors....with no ventilation. Last driver standing wins!
