Doing a deep di e back into the wiki for the vta series from 1968-1972 there was a class called under 2.0L then changed to the 2.5 challenge. (2.5L motor cars)
these to series included cars like the BMW 2002 ,alfa Romero, Austin mini, escort mk1, porsche 911 was snuck into it as the crammed a back seat in it for a few years, and a few others. Is there any way that these would be excluded even tho they ran together with the over 2.0L cars like mustang and camaro. How is the process of possibly submitting these bodies for approval if able to find 10th scale cou ter parts available. Just to give more options for bodys that were in the trans an series as per the wiki describes?

understood, but there were other cars in that series as stated in photos and wiki documents that show there were other manufacturers in what they call the golden era of trans am series. Granted most are going to be almost impossible to find but it is a good discussion.

Beginnings (1966–1967)[edit]
Kwech / Andrey 1966 Trans-Am Championship Alfa Romeo GTAThe Trans-American Sedan Championship commenced on March 25, 1966, at Sebring International Raceway, beginning a 7 race season. (After 1966, seasons would average 12 rounds until 1973) The overall win went to Jochen Rindt driving an Alfa Romeo GTA, a very successful car in Trans Am, until Porsche arrived. Bob Tullius (in a Dodge Dart) took second overall and first in the Over 2.0 Liter class.Allan Moffat, in a 1600cc Lotus Cortina, won the third race at Bryar. Ford of Britain gave full factory support to the Alan Mann Lotus Cortinas. In 1966, the Over 2.0 Liter Manufacturers' Champion was Ford, with the Mustang of Tom Yeager and Bob Johnson scoring most of Ford's wins and points. The Under 2.0 Liter Manufacturers' Champion was Alfa Romeo, with Horst Kwech and Gaston Andrey's Alfa Romeo GTA scoring 39 of the 57 Manufacturers' points for Alfa.
For 1967, in the Over 2.0 Liter class, Ford edged out Mercury for its second Manufacturers' Championship. Porsche successfully lobbied the SCCA to reclassify the 911 as a sedan, and then went on to dominate the Under 2.0 Liter field, winning the first of ultimately three consecutive Manufacturers' Championships over Alfa Romeo. The second season would see the emergence of now familiar names like Mark Donohue (3 wins, 2 of them without a co-driver) and Dan Gurney.
Porsche ,BMW , Lotus Cortina (Ford europe) , Alfa Romeo , Mini cooper , Audi , Jaguar etc.
That's a lot of "Trans Am spirit" to dismiss...

Tamiya makes a lot of those bodies, if you try to run them with protoform bodies of " Muscle Cars" it will look silly due to Tamiya ultra realistic bodies, and PF door stop bodies. I get your point, I always thought it would be awesome and in the spirt of the class. I guess we are the minority.

my point exactly. Way to many left out to only keep the American ones in. The spirit was class driven but half the class is cut out.

The idea was to capture the heyday of Trans-Am which was the over 2.0L class.
It's what it's

New PF body in the works that a few of my local racers are already crying about.
Racer 1: "Proportions are all fucked up. If thats the case, might as well let a ton of other bodies in"
Racer 2: "might as well be a zodiac that don't even resemble a real car. Lol"
Racer 3: "Slammed roof, ass all up in the air to get the spoiler in the breeze. This is the bullshit that toy car racers ALWAYS jump to, and it ruins the vibe."
Me: "I just like cool shit and to have different options" lol.
Ok, a bit of topic, but I'm getting a bit tired of this:
The Zoodiac actually does resemble a real GT car. And it's arguably closer to the original than quite a few VTA bodies out there.
Note: just because it doesn't have a Cadillac, Chevrolet or Ford badge on it, doesn't mean it isn't a real car.
