You can see the small amount of glue on the front outside edge. just to the first groove.

Gluing the first tread really calmed the car down for me. I don't know if it improved lap times as the track layout changed, but it was a lot more calm.

Once we get carpet at our track, I may have to try this. At my age, calm is good!

Exactly what it does. You can get more aggressive with the driving.

Does anyone make a titanium screw kit for this motor yet?

Will be testing it this weekend in both a tc chassis and F1 to see how much it compares to a full fledged timing motor.

Hopefully it slows them down...25.5 open motor is fast!

Not at all. Locally, the latest 25.5s in VTA are as fast or faster than USGT. VTA has picked up probably 1.5-2 sec a lap over the years at our track. While I know it's an added expense, I am all for starting to slow some of these classes down. If you want to just go fast, run mod.

Belewis comes from my area before I moved to the Midwest. Norcal hobbies has a very large asphalt track with very wide lanes. You definitelty need a good motor to be very competitive. Most tracks I race at now in the Midwest are 80x40' black carpet and a tighter layout. It's harder to maintain speed and not crash versus a large outdoor track with lower traction/wide lanes and lower corner speeds.

Hope they fix the spelling errors in the spec sheet that comes with the motor before it gets released to the general public.

The best part of VTA is open motor.
Enough rule and regulation in the USA, why not just keep the hobbies free and fun?
