Just bought this new car, I'm fairly new to it, just wondering what you guys are running for gearing ratios on a 17.5 blinky setup. The track I'm racing at is fairly large.

I run around a 106mm rollout on a 104x48 carpet track.

43/41 cut 76/60 gearing with a pinion range 58-62 should get you close...

Wow 40 degrees!!!, my motor is a gen 2 tekin, right now it came from the factory at 10 degrees.

Start it there. Get the gearing close and roll some timing in later.

Note that all motors are different. Some like Trinity motors have 30deg of timing when the end bell is set to zero. On those you run 10-20deg of timing for a total of 40-50deg true timing.

On a Reedy motor zero is zero so you run a true/indicated 40-50 deg timing.

I'm new to this brushless timing, we are running a blinky class, I thought that meant the esc doesn't add any timing. Or am I mistaken?

No ESC timiing but you can crank the timing on the endbell of the motor..
