tire prep?

tire prep?
anyone wanna give me some tire prep/maintenance help?
We run on OLD carpet, like 20 years old, so it's quite worn. We have been running just jaco blues for both open and stock class's, but we moved to a different location, and now the indoor temps are pretty cold (i temped the track surface and it's around 14-16 degree's). i'm always fighting for traction, especailly in the open class. i've got tire warmers, but dont know how high i should really be setting them
so any temp advice? compound (i just picked up a bottle of sxt 3.0) and tire prep advice?and now we are going to be allowing foam in the open class, so i'm gonna be trying that out.
Oh, i'm running an xray 008 and a 009

You don't say what tyres.
Unless it's freezing cold I wouldn't bother with tyre warmers on carpet at all.
Clean tyres with lighter fluid or similar.
Apply the additive 20 mins before run.
I'm afraid I don't know anything about that additive

in the stock class it's all sweeps or jaco blues (i have 2 fresh sets of blues in front of me now finally)
for foams, i'm not sure what i can get my hands on right now, everyone seems to be out of everything

How do those tyres sompare with say, Sorex 24's or 28's etc?
I would say if you must use warmers, only go to 40-45degC, otherwise you'll turn the softer tyres to jelly.
