You can tell the diffrence between ozite and carpet after one lap with your car.if the car comes back clean its ozite.if your car comes back dirty its carpet.I raced on some tracks were when I clean my car it looks like I just shaved a cat.Cleveland Indoor Champs has some of the best ozite you can race on.

so is this ozite?
http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/modules.p...prodID=7718822
Looking at this you could do a track that was 96 x 40 or 80 x 48
Total cost would be $1752 for carpet Probably another $100 for shipping. And then who knows for installation. So lets just say $2250 to get started with just the track.
Man costs add up quick!

Oops I forgot barriers. So $500 + to get boards and paint them.
Now we are closer to $3000 for the track. Then you would also need pit tables and electricity piped to each area.
Now I understand why tracks have a hard time going from concept to actually happening.

So like $10k for the first month.
Good thing I am just getting some numbers for people not having to find the cash myself.

This is where we race! It has the real CRC Ozite. It's perfect for 12 & 10 scales. And yes its the same layout as Cleveland last year.

ozite fuzz?
We just purchased some ozite "fasttrack" and have had (3) weekends on it. were getting LOTS of Carpet fuzz on the moving parts of the cars. We only use foams. Are you "track owners" vacuuming the carpet..and if you do... do the vacuumes you use have carpet beaters in them? (the spinning thing on the vacuume head itself)
I've raced on other ozite tracks and did not have the fuzz problem.
