what different techniques do people use to do this to obtain maximum performance

Most matchers seem to be using turbomatchers with 30amp discharge down to .9 at 5000sec. This is the most common I believe some are starting to try 35 amps to weed out poorer cells. Not that Im an expert I just have looked into it alot.

then after 5000sec do they measure the unloaded voltage???
The 0.9volts is this the load condition??
I think with nicads they use a 0.6 volt diode for under load voltage

The voltage number is an average voltage number over the discharge down to .9v

The full charged cells reach 1.33volts after about one minute of the charger.
The cell maintains higher voltage initaly then eventualy falls away quite fast while under load.
If measure the voltage while not under load the cell voltage will go back up to around 1.2 volts even if the cell in nearly fully dischard
