I believe Andy Moore was running a Hara Hammer like the one Atsushi runs. It starts off as a RC12L4 and then you get the Hammer conversion kit.

Is the Champs a roar race ? If not then what rules do they follow?
Do they weight the cars, check heights and widths and tear down stock motors after a TQ run or a main win ?
Thanks.

It's not a ROAR race, they typically follow their own rules that are loosely based on ROAR.

As far as tech procedures, I'm not totally sure. Last year they tore down the motors of the winners and whatnot. Maybe someone who was there can speak up.

I just read on the Losi website that they have been trying out a shaft drive setup on the JRX-S. Maybe as a possible hopup. Something about that they used it at the latest race.

Late Breaking News

The design and development team have been working on an exciting new front drive shaft system that was tried for the first time at the World Championships a few weeks ago and, after further refinements, were used with great success at the US Indoor Championships (where the JRX-S was TQ). Due to the spectacular performance of these new parts we are currently trying to get them produced for inclusion in the JRX-S kit while trying to keep any cost increase to a minimum.

It was a different front CVD. The original had a little binding in them (very slight) but they redesigned them to get them smoother.

I was kind of hoping that they were talking about the BK bones.

They are bones on the diff side and cvd's like a real car on the wheel side. I saw it on Hodge's car, very cool.

He was running the Hammer 12. I saw him testing it at the gate. The car looked real smooth in qualifying but I didn't sitick around for the main.

Nash-I tried to send you a bunch of pics. Hopefully you get this email

I looked at Andy Moore's car in the elevator....it was a 12l4......from my understanding, he bought it there in Ohio....it had no Hara parts that I could see.....at least none of the stuff that sets it apart.

They weighed the cars, checked heights and widths of everyone before race, then post race weight check. I'm not sure if they tore down the motors of the A winners or not, but I know for a fact they didn't on the lower main winners (I was one ).

I do know they didn't tear down the second place a mainers, but nobody I was with won an A main (Skip did get second though).
