Talking Tech Racing FX

Those pics come from this month's RC World.
Don't really know if it will only be a prototype (perhaps someone can help translate the texts).
It has the Tamiya LW suspension components and the transmission layout looks very similar to the prototype they've shown one year ago.

Tech has had the pinion/spur diff combo on other cars I have seen in the past. Not sure the reason but I would assume it is to get some more direct drive with less wind up of the belt. You could also alter the internal ratio of the car to suit tracks also.

Hi Guys,

The first version of this car was actually shown with the TC3 suspension components about a year ago. The spur and pinion drivetrain is interesting because it lends the possibility of different transmission ratios front and rear

a close friend of mine who lives in japan has told me that the official name of this car is "shaniqua's dream".

I hope nobody ever tries to do that My guess is the motor would last about 5-6 laps with that kind of bind in the drivetrain.

I had a guy bring me a truck 1:1 that he had replaced the axle in and he couldnt figure out why one set of tires alwayse squeeled when it was in 4wd. He replaced the axle with one that had a different ratio. I dont know how long he tried that for but less than a year later he was also paying me to rebuild his tranny and transfer case.
