I have a CRC that ill be racing soon. I want to get a servo so I can start racing soon what are some good budget minded choices out now. Are the Hitec 1/12 servos any good?

Good and inexpensive don't go usually mix... Save up and buy a good servo once don't buy a cheap one now and buy a good one later, you end up spending more $. That said, I like the futuba 9650 & 9660, JR has also been good to me.

All of these are good. 1/12 and cheap servos do not play well togather. You need a strong and fast servo.

Thanks for the fast replys from everyone. I guess when I first started looking all I could find were $100.00 Servos but the Futaba 9560 will go perfectly with my 3pk speed gun
$55.00 is a lot better for my wallet.
thanks again to everyone

Yes it works fine as was used by top racers at big races recently in stock and mod

the JR 3650 is the best of the best when it comes to 12th servos. Besides its speed and strength, it is smaller than most of the others and is super dependable. i have 1 that i've had since they first came out and it's still going strong after years of use.
This year, i have been testing the Spektrum A5030 and A5040. They are listed as airplane servos, but they work great in 12th scale. I have been running the A5030 (plastic gear version) in my 12th car weekly for over a month now and it works awesome. no failures, no issues returning to center. It's light, fast, inexpensive, and so far has been perfectly dependable.
The A5040 is the metal gear version and i haven't got as much time on this one yet, but it is in a WGT car, so it is getting a harder test than the one in the 12th car. I hope to get more time on this one soon and see how well it does in the bigger, heavier car.
