Eric,

Go back 300 pages or so and every other post mentions "Two weeks".

Now you know.

It is simply sweet compared to the xxxs i ran.
Well, racing...not yet. I need to get myself down there and run A LOT of practice. I haven't ran in about 4 years, so I am pretty rusty. I am going to try to head out there on my days off during the week (I'll be there on thursday of this week). Then after that, I may start running on Sundays when it is a little less competitive. If I get good enough, I'll start to run there on the friday nights.

Are they racing now or is it just every once in a while? Are there many people there on thursdays? I'll probably head out there during the day, but I might stay until about 6 since I figure people will be coming down to practice for friday night. I'm just a little worried that I may be the only one there on thursday and I don't want to have Benny turn on the heat and lights just for me!!! What do you think??

I was thinking of putting some money into the xxx-s to make it a little more competitive, probably all in all about $100. do you think it is worth it to spend the $300 or so on a JRX-S and just use the xxx-s when someone else comes with me or just stick with the XXX-S and wait for something else down the line. THough I can't say first hand, i've heard that many people aren't happy with the JRX-S and that Losi should be coming out with something else soon (i've been partial to Losi cars, so i'll be driving one no matter what).

Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!
I have had my jrx-s for about 2 months and I've like it. It was the first belt car that I've owned but have not had any problems with it. I ran the same set up for a while, making small changes. I know some of the xxx-s parts will fit the jrx-s also. You can find some pretty good deals on jrx-ses on ebay, sometimes some pretty new ones cheep. If you do get one, I would recommend not soldering the batteries because they are preety hard to get at. i use deans on mine.

Can't imagine how a Deans plug would work on a JRX-S...Corally (Trinity) plugs for the car.

Lately Saturday has been the big turnout for practice, thursday is usually pretty quiet. We race every friday and sunday.
