I'm sure other JRX-S owners have noticed the problem with the wobbling spur gear. Is there a fix that I can do (BESIDES THE SPUR GEAR ADAPTER) that will keep the spur gear from wobbling?

Some just wobble out of the package. You can run it as long as it is not too bad. Or.......... Get the PRS adapter and run the other gears.

Does the PRS spur gear adapter add much weight? Does anyone know the part number by any chance?

It's really close to the stock weight, possibly a little less because the gear is machined down so much. Check the PRS link in my sig it's easy to find the adapter on their site.

On the spur gear wobble

I have found that if you ease (with a file or sandpaper) the sharpe edge of the shaft before you press on the gear it will be straighter. The shaft will sometimes broach (cut on the inside hole) the gear, causing it to wobble.
