Yes, definitely. We have a decent group of locals out here (around 12 or so) that run the TC6. And almost everyone that I've ran with bounces between green and silvers all day; even in mod. Being how precise your springs are made, I think that is 12.5 pounds springs would be an excellent addition to tuning options. Plus....it completes the range of springs in the lower extreme.

thanks for listening

Dropping my spring rates down is one of my next moves. I'd buy the 12.5's if / when you build. People are starting to run the greens at 11.43 lbs with good results.

Ok, I will talk to the factory to get some samples made to test. Would make sense with the higher roll centers people typically run. As I have stated numerous times, I run the A3

i think when you run the shorter links with a little bit more camber gain the softer springs would be very usable. Also compared to other new cars tc6 does not roll to much so soft springs make the car easier to drive for some so technically faster

Cristian, when using screws from the inside as stops, does the screw actually extend into one of the holes of the block lock or just butt up against it? Also, if the screw does go into the block lock do you know the screw length needed? I'd measure them myself but waiting on UPS to deliver my goodies from Reflex.

Thanks,
Chuck

Chaz, the block lock are not ready yet, (hopefully next week they will ship out) so what you probably ordered was a pre-order. All your other items shipped.

The screws from the inside will actually go through the block, there is a slot in them for it. The ideal length screw is probably the width of the bulkhead +2mm.

Front:
-1,1,1.5 Piston 550cst oil
-15.5lb spring
-Outside link on tower caps (shorter) 3mm underneath the inside link, 2mm outside
-3A Roll center blocks
-4 Deg Caster
-Shocks 1 hole out on shock tower
-6 on droop
-5mm ride height
-Slipper Spool tight
-Black sway bar

Rear
-1,1,1.5 Piston 450cst oil
-13.5lb spring
-Outside link on tower caps 2mm underneath inside, 3mm outside
-3A Roll center blocks
-shocks 2 holes out on shock tower
-4 on droop
-5.5 mm ride height
-Gear diff 700cst oil
-2.5 inboard toe 1 deg toe hub (if you are not running toe in hubs, 3 degs inboard is enough toe)
-Black sway bar

The set-up is super consistent and fast week in-week out. I like that I have not had to change it in a long time. To adjust your roll stiffness (i.e. if it leans to hard) you can remove shims from the inside camber link locations for minute adjustments. If it is not enough, I change my spring rate by 1lb before I change my shock angles (since changing angles affects damping as well as spring rate).

-5.5mm ride height
What surface is this setup for?

This is asphalt, with a Solaris Hard spec tire.

On carpet, however the set-up was pretty much the same, the only changes were I went to 14.5 springs in the rear, 2 degrees of rear toe and 1000cst on the gear diff.

Thanks for the info. No road racing around me for the next couple weeks anyway so block locks going out separately is no issue. Look forward to getting some Reflex Racing parts on the car. They look good.

Sweet, that was quick! Let us know when they are ready and I'll order them and a couple more 13.5's.

If all goes well, I'd say around the last week of August we should have a production. Samples, like 10 days...

Found your thread CT, after looking for my 12th scale

+1 on the pistons, shock mounts and springs.

Switched from Losi #56 pistons few weeks ago and like the consistency better, tolerances on the pistons are better since they are machined too. Looking for nice shock o rings now!
