So the front ball should have the notch facing forward? I hadn't measured my toe in, but it looks like I have 2 degrees on the arm, and 2 on the hub carrier, I was really surprized. I think I'm going to mellow that out to maybe 2.5-3.

I've never gotten a direct answer on this, but should the notch on the front pivot face forward? And should I adjust the notch on the rear pivot so it faces forward as well? I would think the width of the car, and wheelbase could be altered as well with the pivots.

Hi Dave,
What will be the effect or handling improvement of having 2.5 to 2.8 toe-in? Thanks

Basically with toe in if you go too far (we are talking about 4 degrees stock) you have too much of a slip angle. A slip angle would be the difference from the straight line the tire is actually traveling on, and the direction the tire is pointing. With 4 degrees you are creating a lot of resistance and drag, which kills straightline speed, and actually will cause the car to lose traction in the turns as well. Going down to 2.5-2.8, you lose a bit of that resistance on the tires, they are able to spin free-er, and dont chatter on the ground.

well they didn't run the endurance race yesterday just normal qualifying then a final. I don't think I'll be going back to that club again, atleast not when it's on the wooden floor. It was one of the slipiest wooden floors I've ever raced on, normaly you can get away with wide mini pins, you HAVE to have 21mm wide mini pins there and they must be fairly new. My narrow's were fairly worn and the wheels didn't fit on my cuda anyway, they are Schumacher wheels which have huge spokes in them which foul the rear hubs and don't allow much steering.
I was skating around all night and had my repaired dodgy front diff in. Wasn't a good night and ended up in the C final in 2nd place on the grid. Taken out about three times on the first lap to put me last, ended up 2nd by the end, a couple of late mistakes costing me a first place, not that it would have been an achievment the car seemed to handle worse as the final went on, looks like my repaired diff has gone for good now, just gave it a feel and it works like a diff but you don't expect it to sound like someone snoring when just turning it gently

Ahwell, back to some decent racing with grip on monday, even if it's soaking wet I'll have more grip

When you talk about running on wood floors, it makes me realize how lucky I am to have a track like SoCal. I dont think I could do the wood floor thing, parking lots are ok though
