Yeh I'd get it from Speedtech too but the Customs over here tend to tax everything that comes in from the US which negates any savings Funnily enough, anything fron Asian countries (HK, Japan etc) slips though without a problem. Go figure!

Ran mine first time last nite. Ran ok. Was only .1 tenth of fasted lap at track. I was happy about that. Only thing that bugged me is when someone told me that i had a tyre coming up everytime i turned the car. Meaning that it was leaning alot. The car seemed to like to be softer then stiff. Went to 25lb springs all around and it was a hand full to drive.

80 wt oil. Front and Rear.
20 lb springs front. 17.5 rear.
1.5 camber around.
Front Location was out side/tower, Outside Arm
Rear Location was 2 from inside tower. 2nd from outside arm.
All else was in stock locations..
sorex 24 all around
Gearing was 72/18 for Monster. Best Acc. Top speed is of no issue at our track.

Tight Small carpet track.
Just wondering if anyone else running carpet with thiers.
How does changing the camber rods effect this car. IE raising or lenthing, Or making them shorter.

Have fun, and go faster.

2fast4u2 racing. Where's the carb setting on this thing!

Forgot to mention that it would roll over very easy.
The springs were Losi purple and Green. Stockers just to light for carpet.

Sound like you need some sway bars maybe a 1.4mm in front and a 1.4~1.6mm on in the Rear
also you might want to try the ALEX Springs..

1.5 x 550 and 1.5 x 525 much stiffer

Hi Guys,

Yes, we'll be getting the aluminum parts soon, along with more hop-ups and spare parts for the R2.

We had a very productive night of racing yesterday, and I'll post the details soon.

2fast4U2,

try drilling out the piston hole first, this will make the car react better, and then put on the sway bars. You are going in the right direction as far as setup goes (stiffer is good) but without drilling out the piston holes, the car will find it difficult transistioning side to side. Drill them out to be around 1mm wide. Give it a try

Thanks Dave, Steve.

I race in KC.

Eric at hobby town is my Speedtech. Dealer.

I dont have my parts list infront of me.
Are the Sway bars on that list that came with the car.
Do you have the Alum supports for the Shaft in stock.
I noticed that if you dont have the mesh close. I stripped a gear.
From the Flexing of the plastic parts. Easy fix.

Also looking to get some of the toe out taken out of the car.
Do you have Hub carriers in different degrees.

I will drill out pistons and get me some of the correct springs.

I wont be able to race car again for while. Am Going to Las Vegas to Race in the Silverbowl Classic, on road Gas race.
Had to ship my stuff to Track. So my Radio will be in transit for two weeks getting there and Racing and getting back. This will give me enough time to get parts.

Again thanks for help.

Hey Tim,

Also, what is your ride height set at? This could have an obvious dramatic effect. And you are right on with the front toe in/out since front toe out will give you a more aggressive turn in.

Let us know how it goes.

Mike try to get it at 5 mm, with the losi springs, they are little long. So that is about low as i can get it for now. Til i can get springs.

As long as Speedtech, as the parts in stock, will be geting them soon. should be on order next day or two.

how low and how much droop are you guys running. I heard the the hub carriers are the 2 degree ones. For some reason we got those, I will be ording the 0 degree ones as well.

Thanks will keep posted as I try stuff.

well if you're being super precise then it probably is, earlier in the thread I was told 2.44 so I guess you actually worked it out.
