I must admit, that was pretty cool. Even though it's pretty obvious that the R/C will win (power->weight ratio).

Awesome video man now imagine if they did it with a 1/8th scale instead of the 1/10th

or even with a real competition-oriented 10th scaler

Oh... You mean with a Nationals-winning car? How about a 2-time US Nationals-winning car?

Very disrepectful of the host to call it a "Remote" controlled car though (one of my pet hates)...

It's "Radio"! There are no leads!

I hadn't seen that before (I knew about it happening) - I actually thought the rally car did really well on such a short course, only really lost ground in the U-turn.

I thought it was funny though apparently there is more rc stuff on this show involving monster trucks and so on but i am usally catching some sleep when its on . aka recovering from the night before. Same it an Hpi but the distributer is the only one in the uk to get involved in promoting the sport on tv.

sosidge - we'll try to get the script changed next time so they don't say "remote control"...but that's just one of the things we're trying to change in people's minds.

smoking - the distributors for the EU market are the ones who get involved with things like TV, radio, etc. (rather than HPI EU directly), because the markets are smaller than in the US. German Big Brother had a Savage contest this year (the housemates had to build and race a Savage SS), Vernon Kay in the UK has started racing a Savage at Max Bashing and mentioning it on his radio show, and of course we're on No Girls Allowed from time to time.

Hey, I got to sit in that WRC car - it's pretty bad-ass! Woven graphite door panels and dash, starter button, the works...I want one! haha

That radio looks like the KO Propo Vantage Espirit II. Same model one I use.

Wow, like the second one I've ever seen.

haha, nice video, but obviously the r/c car is gonna win over a short distance like that. r/c also change direction much faster, less weight=less inertia.. haha

Hey Thad,
Hardly recognise you, it's been 8 weeks since I last saw you in person.
The last time I saw you though, you had a nice viking hat on.

To be honest you now look like an asslowciated driver who got his ass whooped.
