*Shaft To Belt Drive Conversion?, Is It Possible?
I have an electric Kyosho TF-5 and its a shaft driven car, is there any way to convert it to a belt drive? Has anyone ever heard of this? Lol it was just an idea that i had.

You might be able to mount a gear to one of the outdrives and run a belt from the front to the rear. I don't think this would be practical, but this was the first out of the box idea that came into my head.
The easiest option would be to replace the diffs/gearbox and come up with a different way to mount the motor. At this point you would have a hybrid design. However, you might be able to combine the best parts of the Kyosho suspension with a belt-drive drive train.

Normally I would say that this is not possible, but wasnt that car available as both a shaft and a belt drive? Just sell it and get the one thats belt drive.
Its going to be easier to just get a belt drive car anyway. Unless its just something that you want to do. Even if you succeed it will be the answer to the question that most people never ask.
I cant say anything. I am guilty of converting a 26 year old radio to 2.4 ghz, when you can walk into any hobby shop and buy a new one for a hundred bucks.
