Wayne-been meaning to ask-but keep forgetting-is the BMI rear pod and cross brace a direct fit to the stock L4 chassis?

Wayne:

Hi,

do you have any setups for the BMI 1/12th scale car??? I am hoping to get one and Mini will be going from a switchblade (02) to the BMI. I am hoping for one before Cleveland so Mini can get used to it. will be running disks instead of tubes. Also looking for a old Tecnacraft/Paragom floating disk setup.

Thanks

Ray...
No it's not.. Sorry

TimXLB...
Setup:

Front: CRC purple tires, .020 springs, 1 deg. camber, 5 deg. up rights, full Niftech tire traction, servo flat of chassis, 1.78 tire dia.

Rear: CRC Gray tires, #4 ride hgt., 25 wt. shock oil, silver spring, dampening disks with 100 wt. shock oil, thick t-bar, Full niftech tire traction, 1.78 dia. tires.

You don't need the floating system, the new dampner post works great.

hhhmmmmmmm-bigger front tires and 5º mounts.... I think I need to start experimenting some more.

Your 12th scale is truly amazing to drive. Its really good off the stright into the teardrop 180.

Ray... If you go bigger tires make sure your chassis is atleast .100 thick or if you have a .085 chassis put shims under the a-arms!! Then glue the edges of the tire

Are the body mounts in the same spot? I have a new body but dont want to cut it out till I know I wont have to make new holes with the new chassis?
