Mario,
it sounds like just about everything I woulda said has already been said....lol... Let us know what you tried and how it works. Yang is correct about the holloween set up. The traction was pretty high, that would give you a good base line to start with. Just remember to make 1 change at a time.
Good Luck,
Wayne

Default Thanks all.

Ended up with Blue fronts(all they had in stock).Batts forward,Had to stay with the orange springs.Had more but, still not quite enough.Have some dbl pink and pinks on order for next week. Those and the springs. When I tried full front,3/4 rear sauce seemed to lose the back end a bit on the tighter 180's a bit. It'll get there, just a bit more fine tuning. It's gonna be the main focus vehicle this coming weekend as the TC is mucho hooked. Thanks again all,it helped.Mario.

Hi guys,

Can you send some pics of your ride, with the damper disk and the damper tubes.

Wayne

What are the effect to mount the shock with less angle (mount on the front hole)?

Thanks

Hi Mart42,

The shock angle was something I played when I ran an L3. With the regidity of the chassis and the dampner post location moved compared to an L4 The angle of the shock needed to be like that to get the best dampening feel when the pod rolled forward. Some guys have tried putting Losi ball cups on the shock and mounting the shock in the other holes in front of the standoff, but have gone back to the stock location. I don't have any current pics of my car, but I'll try to get some during the US Indoor champs next week to post. If anybody else has a pic lets see it!!!

They are standard Dubro 2-56 thread plastic ball cups. Any full service (Car/Plane) hobby shop should have them. Dubro makes them in black and clear.

Whoops...i told you to get the wrong thing. The steel ball studs are also 2-56 Dubro units.

Hey guys,

I want to apologize to wayne and all of the customers who were running BMI 1/12th conversions at cleveland. I tried to get a box load of spares up to the race for saturday delivery but due to the holiday weekend,UPS decided not to pick up unless you called them. It would have been nice to get a little notice from them. I really apologize for this. I will be ramping up on replacement parts for the kits and am also working on making a complete 1/12th car. I will be keeping a much larger inventory on spare parts and will also have the asphalt chassis plate readily available for asphalt season. thanks for your understanding.

no problem yang. I am going to be putting more emphasis on the 1/12th car now.i am not going to be doing such a large line of touring car kits because it makes it too dificult for me to support all of them.i will still do 1 or maybe 2 touring kits but my main goal is to have my 1/12th car available as soon as possible.i am making a very large run of 1/12th conversion kits now and it will take me a little while but when they are finished i will have inventory for the most of this coming year.I will also be coming out with new goodies for the 1/12th cars.keep your eyes open.
