My sedan may not be an assosiated but it keeps up to nitro cars easy as pie.
we ddint have an electric class oudoor this year so i had to run with the nitro and i lost by 2 laps in the a main BUT i finished 3rd tho.
i have a XXXS G+ running a NOVAK 5800 and [email protected] a 33tooth pinion and a 128 spur.
i only lost because im not that experienced with my sedan yet. was running rubber sorex 28 all around with red inserts. iv had teh top speed estemated at around 43-47mph. the track was small enuf it wasnt topping out.
but i just had that pinion lying around and i only had up to a 26 for electric class on indoor carpet from the winter season.

so move over you Assosiated guys and make way for the LOSI!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.s. Now im gonna have to ask the cop that comes in and gets lunch every day where i work to speed test it. HE HE HE.

Maybe you get hit on the walls/barriers at full throttle!..that will definitely be the result!......

We had a radar run a couple years ago.

My tc3 running a stock motor hit 29mph running a 72tooth spur and a 27tooth pinion. I was running a P2K and sanyo 1700s at the time.

Well, if you were running on a tight course then of course you could beat a nitro fairly easily. In fact, you would probably keep up with a 19 t or maybe even a stock. But, if you put yourself on a 200x100 track with sweepers only then there would be no way that an electric would keep up with a nitro.

47 MPH radar confirmed

lehner basic 4200 brushless motor
hacker car sport controller
8-2600mAh cells.
72/27 gearing
S7 Body

071crazy,

This setup will keep up with most nitros on just about any course.

i know that there are some wicked fast TC's out there, not to mention pan cars.electric has come a long way. but after i got my Nitro TC3 all i can say is..second gear-see ya..... its also cheaper and easier to go fast with nitro. for someone like me who doesnt have a lot of time to dedicat to r/c, electric is too much trouble. and for the price of 2 or 3 good battery packs i could buy a brand new .12 dont get me wrong, this is in no way bashing electric cars.i think they have unreal acceleration. that is one thing i dont like about my nitro. off the line my old 1/12 would smoke a nitro car

8 single, 12 cells, and a lot of parking lot mine hit 59mph before the speed control blew up. It was still gaining speed. I guess when tekin says 4-10 cells, they weren't lying. With 10 cells, before the fire, it went 48mph. With the 8T single and a 6 cell pack the car was fast, but on a track I would say 25-30mph is all I squeezed out of it. Sometimes too fast means that the boards at the end of the straight take a beating. This TC3 car was a play toy, not a race setup car. We put it through a lot of abuse.

Right now my TC3 is having some repairs done. After it is repaired, i will be taking it to a machine shop and we are redesigning the car for a project. When I get it back - the speed will be posted here: http://studysession.com

And those i remember from another thread -- I have a couple of videos posted now. Nothing impressive, but I did wreck the car!
