Default Front Tire Wear

Trying out a new tire manufacture running 45 shore (front/rear). The rears look spotless but the fronts do not have an even wear pattern and the outside of the tire looks like I am overheating it.

Do I need more camber in the front end?

Softer spring (currently running yellow)?

Harder Front Tire 50 shore?

Getting warm yes, but that's when they get sticky. How's the traction?

The rears are hooked but the front end is pushing like a dump truck if I am on the throttle or off.

Normally for bashing I do not mind the car handling this way as it prevents roll overs and makes it very predictable for speed runs.

SNR recommends black stock front springs and no swaybar

Was the picture of the tire you posted from the front or rear? You might need a slightly softer spring in the front for weight transfer under braking.

Front Tire.

Found the front spring had collapsed by 4mm compared to a new in package one. The front ride height was less than 7mm which would transfer the majority of the weight permanently to the back tires.

I didn't have another yellow to put back in so I went with a new white spring. Increased the front droop by .5mm, and softened the front sway bar.

Will give it a test and see if the front end slides as much and how the tires wear.

Default Need another GTP2

Hit something square and concrete at 85mph. I have never seen a 6S lipo accordion before or a drive shaft bent this badly .

My need for speed has died down a bit. Will have to pick through the carcass to find anything not broken.

Don't have a need for speed so much anymore.
That's going to leave a mark.....

I have assigned speed runs to better and better locations over time. A 9lb object @ 85mph needs a ton of width length to be safe from objects that just JUMP out at you! lol

Default Force

Weight of car = 7 lb = 31.1281 N

Mass = W / g = 7 lb / 32 ft/s^2 = 0.21875 slugs

Velocity = 85 mi/hr = 124.67 feet per second

Initial Kenetic Energy

Kenetic Energy = 1/2 ( 0.21875 slugs ) ( 124.67 ft/s )^2

KE = 1699.9728 ft lb

Stopping Distance = 8 inches

Work Required to stop the car:

Favg (d) = -1/2mv^2

Favg = 1.268875 tons (2537.75 lbs)

My 7 lbs car became 2537.75 lbs when it hit concrete? Is this right?

Hey Transformers!!! Great looking lid. I recommend you apply a little shoe goo under the leading edge of your front end of your lid. It will make it last a little longer. Just my. 02.
