Don't know how the visual of the car will be on that go-cart track lol
yeah, I'm a bit concerned about the visual aspect as well on a track that size. Depth perception on the track sections that are the furthest away can be difficult.

Anyway, thanks to ALL of you who have replied to my questions so far. As to the sensored vs sensorless, I'm leaning toward the TrackStar 2350KV sensored motor with the 120A sensored esc and a 4S lipo. I don't want to deal with cogging on a standing start!

Give it a year and it will be sub $300. New stuff is always overpriced. Once it has been on sale for a while it will come down.

I don't EVER recall the GTP2e being $500.00... are u sure u were looking at a OFNA GTP2e? I think you may have been looking at a GT-V2.

OFNA GT-V2...Ouch! $$$

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCVYG

Here is the newest GTP2e with a different body available then last years available model.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXAGUH&P=ML

and here is the prior model available. Both same model, just different body.

http://www.ofna.com/ugtp2e.php

Then there is this one for a lil more $$$ then the GTP2e. The OFNA DM-1e

http://ofna.com/dm1-spec-e.php

...Hope that helped

Bad choice of wording on my part, what i meant was thinking of HOW the GTP2e was priced in the past, when i saw the new GT-V2 at $500 i was shocked. The Ofna 1/8 GT rollers have never been more than $200-260 tops (GTP2e/DM1-e)

VERY NICE...Very clean with a realistic race look. The rivet look was done with a paint marker. Just don't press hard. Just a dab each dot as equal as possible draining more paint and testing the flow on the side on a sheet of paper...Give it a try. I think it will add to the realistic design of your GTP2e. Maybe start of with just a few spread out and maybe start off with front window and rear window.

I don't know whether this will add up to $300
Few things first hand
  • Straght line front and rear center shafts
  • Front and Rear CVA
  • Front and Rear Center CVA
  • Everything is lightened
  • 43/10 "Track Friendly F/R Diff"
  • "Looks Cool" motor mount (personally nothing beats the good old nexx8 mount)
  • Dual Battery Tray
