I've got 2 417's im going to be running this year, one is a 417x with the Smokem FX chassis/floating servo mount/and 417v5 top deck, the other is the same with the Smokem 417v7 setup.

I raced last season with 1 417x without the upgrades. I had it handling pretty good, but room for improvement.

Is there a good setup out there for for a starting point the 2 cars i just listed? smaller tight tech track, low-medium traction, 1 car mod (i alternate between a 8.5 and a 4.5, 1 car 17.5 blinky)

I've decided to part ways with my lovely 417X. It would match up perfectly with a new Smokem conversion.

I'm not going for the Smokem, I'm going for the TRF417 Sepes racing conversion.. I did an interview with the owner on my blog here, and he showed how the parts were created etc

It looks like the smokem kit except that you keep the right side mount from your 417. Is the conversion to keep cost low?

I love how the interview borrows blocks of text from the smokem website, their redrc press release and emails. Nice work fella!
