Drove a V5 today and threw on half of my setup on the buddy's car. It was "Easy button" easy. Definitely worth it to upgrade from the old car minus the shitty aeration shocks.

Too bad I already switched to Yokomo which I have to say is the easiest car I've ever drove. I just wish it had the sharpness of the Tamiya.

So are people not liking the aeration shocks for some reason? I think they are great. They are not difficult to set from what I found while building them. Maybe I am missing something.

They need too much maintenance. Most people are willing to rebuild once a day not once a run. This is on carpet though so I can't speak for asphalt.

I think if you open them up you'll find they are full of air

As long as a distributor has ordered them they are available, and have been for some weeks.

Amen, I'm terrible on jaco blues too. I tried Jilles Snowbirds setup, but that did not work for me. I assume it works better on high grip carpet. To increase the grip I reduced static camber a bit and added some camber gain by lowering the inner camber link from 5 to 3.5 in front and 4 to 3 in rear. It was better, but I still was not nearly as fast as some of the faster guys.

Same here except Im running the 417x. My friend suggested I remove 2 screws in the rear top deck which increased my rear grip. It's the 3rd of screws counting from the rear. However do this at your own risk as it may break the top deck.
