we have to use Tamiya tires in our local TCS.
this weekend our 2nd Carpet TCS was held. i stated my setup on a very high grip carpet around 5 pages earlier in this thread. today, the carpet has a little less grip. i had to change tires to S-Grip all around. but still was able to fight against the fastest M-05s. i ran 16.0 sec fastest lap times only one lap of the m-05s was faster. (15,9) unfortunately i made to much mistakes, although i did not make much, but they were to much :roll eyes: 6 minutes runs and at the end 1 second difference between 1st-2nd-3rd-and 4th place :) so it was fun to driving in with the m-05s in the same speed-league *g* So you did a great job again! On our carpet track,I always prefer the 60d M-Grips over the S-grips, as I found them to have more grip on a carpet surface than the S-Grips, although rubber should be softer. Probably nothing new for you, but if you maybe need even more grip...:D Keep on the good work, Happy new year from Germany, Matthias |

Aitutaki, Could you tell me where you race in Austria? We spend summers 45-minute drive from Salzburg. Would love to race with you.
but this year 2 races will be held in Linz, this is only 90km from Salzburg. would be nice if you would join us :) |

Nice looking track, is the carpet laid in sections or in rolls ?

Very nice track you have, but would really like to know, how you fix all these carpet pieces together? Br, Matthias |

Donīt bother too much about your 3rd place, itīs the fights wheel to wheel that make the hobby! And if you know, you did the mistakes yourselfs, you can be o.k. with the result! For me itīs this way at least! Winning is nice, but to know to be competitive is what makes the fun in the end and making it easy to accept every result in the end.

Has anyone tried running a staggered setup? Different size tires front to back. Wondering how it would affect handling - my S2000 (real car) has narrower front tires than the back, for example.

in addition, we are driving a car that takes more brains to drive.. unlike the M05
youīre damn right! :D hello! I found me on the picture Iīm also interested to try an M06. Maybe I buy 1 in the near future. BR, Fritz If youīre able to still get an M06 R, take the chance. It has some special parts, that you can not get as single parts or other kits. (clamp weights, lower shock mount). And regarding setup, you can ask your Racebuddy Aitutaki. He knows, how to set this beast up! Br, Matthias |
Stretched M-06 wheelbase to 267mm??
Hey guys, is it possible to, or has anyone stretched the wheelbase of the M-06 past it's max? I wanna stretch one to 267mm to fit a plastic general lee body...
any ideas?? Thanks! |

Most likely not. Its a hatchback and has no rear over hang for the motor. You basically need a car that has a trunk for the M06
