From what I've read, the gearbox ratios are identical to the M-05 - no top speed advantage. Although if the package works, there should be a decent handling advantage.

Looks like square packs will fit that tub. Good move by Tamiya to acknowledge the world outside Tamiya HQ!

Just being able to accept square packs is an advantage over m05 already since we will have more range to chooe capacity plus the center battery
layout i believe achieve better balance. Fwd versus Rwd advantage comes down to setup.

Amazing huh, it took 6 generations for them to add this feature. By M-12 they might include an ESC with built in bec lol
