Keep in mind that the TA03 ball diff is about 15 years old. The M05 is identical in design to TRF416.

For the gear diff, someone should look into the possibility of using the plastic gears from TA06. They're much lighter and sufficiently durable, especially for a Silvercan motor

Hi Raman, don´t know if you refer to the 3 Racing gear, but this is already quite light with 4 spider gears inside made of plastic. Probably the Ta06 parts can be made to fit, but it´s just not needed and wouldn´t make any weight difference.
For the serial gear diff, maybe the planetary gears fit, but not the dish gears on the outdrives, because of the different attachment method?

But just thinking, probably I did not get your intention.:lol:

I wasn't referring to 3Racing diff. Meant it as an experimental option for stock diff. As you know at some club races as well as TCS you can not run non Tamiya hop ups

Now it´s clear. But would Tamiya allow Ta06 inner parts in a M-gear diff,
if they would fit?:D

Technically no. However if tech decides to look into the gear box, they can see if the Tamiya gears are being used. I doubt they would open up the diff and have the diff oil spill every where to check for gears lol.

Spent around 6 hours at the track today tuning the M06. My daughter drove around 400 laps. She went up and down the stand 20 times to test 20 different setups.

First runs were 23 seconds. After 6 hours...

Her last run of 8 laps were 19.9, 20.2, 20.4, 20.0, 20.2, 20.3, 20.2, 20.2. Like a robot.

Anyone tried the m06r suspension hub weights?

What are the effects and does it work for outdoor Tarmac?

I have a m06 that's been used as a TAC fighter, then re-built as a rally car. Was super fun! Thinking of converting it back for on-road play.

If you look 2 pages ago we started some discussion on the weights.
Some of us are still testing, but most of us had the impressions they help.
Remember that you cannot get them as single parts, only in an R-kit.
Probably they will never be for sale as single parts, as the R is a limited edition kit. If you want to rebuild your existing M06 kit, the weights are an expensive tuning part. ;)
