Well last night I saw the 1st M-06Pro on the track. I got to the track about 3 hours early and when I was getting my M-05Pro ready for some practice laps I heard another racer do the usal traction compound carpet burnout, I thought "Hey that sounds like a mini.....sort of!" So I went to check it out, it was an M-06Pro. This chassis is FAST!!! real fast. I race an M-05Pro and my friend races an M-03R, we both can do laps in the 13 to 13.4 consistantly and thats usually considered fast. Until we saw the M-06.......this driver who is considered a friend as well, He was running laps in the lower 12s!!!!! Nearly a full second faster over any of the other minis during practice.

During the race he was only able to muster a 12.8 while me and another racer were running in the low 13s all night long. DAMN! Looks like I'll have to save up the pennies and get one now. :nod:

Without sounding like a jerk, I would say you need to work on your M05. I see no reason why the M06 would be faster than a well setup fwd car. (03 or 05). Infact I would be very suprised if the equally well setup 05-06s didn't produce a several tenth difference with the 05 edging the 06.

Most of the time people setup the minis decent And they are very driveable. But there is usually a second a lap or more difference between a well setup car and a car with a great setup.

Thanks for your info Core Creations. I've been going back and forth on getting the M 06 Pro. I'm gonna keep working on my M 05 Pro.

Where does is say (req must use screw per instruction in the TCS rules? ....
btw if you used the hop up hinge pins with e clip ,that will hold the arm together without the screws :)

we dont have tcs here its just local rules

That sucks, that means you have to use the same electronics that is printed on the manual.

i had my mo6pro at erics track a few weeks ago...i got smoked by m03s and m05s...thos mini guys are fast...

Hehe, you just need to work on your car and driving skill some more. Next time your up there holler at Jeff Mo or Bill with setup. You also want to drive this thing smooth, the smoother the better.

Argh. The following is copied directly from the 2011 TCS rules.

1. All chassis platforms must be built per the instruction manual. Altering their basic structure and design is prohibited.

13. Any manufacturer’s electronic speed control, radio equipment, servo saver, antenna pipe, antenna mount, pinion and spur gears, ball bearing, tire inserts are allowed in all classes, unless exceptions are noted within class specific rules.

Has anyone else had some fairly major binding issues in their M-06 gearbox? I assembled the rear portion of the car last night and had to back off every screw in the thing to get it spinning "kind of" freely. Maybe I missed something. I've built a lot of other minis, haven't seen binding this bad before.

Ideas?

I'm just going to keep it loose and run it on slow dummy motor for a while. Maybe that will loosen things up. If that doesn't work, it's dis-assembly one screw at a time until I find the culprit.

not agree with ur opinion. it's depend on the over all condition.
if running in hi-traction surface like indoor carpet, low out put motor( mabuchi silver/black can motor). a rear wheel drive have a best advantage compare with a front wheel drive. i have run my m04 with silver can motor to smoke out those mo3 with black can mabuchi.
no doubt , the m04 is very hard to drive n setting.
hope this new m06 will solve those problem. i have build my m06 now. hope it will perform well in tarmac race track.
