Its cool and all.......but I wouldn't race it. It'll be for crusing up and down the street, catching future hobbyist...... I rather race this:

Where DO you get that body from?
I would love to get hold of a 4-door orginal (GC8) WRX shell - as opposed to the Tamiya WRC/22B style ones...

HPI.....They said its comming soon, but its taking too long.

I hope it comes out exactly like its pictured, I mean how the rear wing mount is totally redesigned. It'll have more downforce in the rear due to how high it sits.

OK cool :)
Would be great if it does go into production, and even better if it is competitive with the stratus/mazda6/alfa etc

Hondaguy 07-18-2004 05:22 PM

I ran a CTS today. I will not run any other body now. I found the CTS to have excellent downforce both in the front and in the rear. It is more neutral than a Mazda 6 or a Alfa 2.0 . It mounts very low. I had it touching the top of my front tower on my TC3. It looked low, sleek, and mean going down the backstraight at my track. BTW, Protoform is now offering a 200mm version of the CTS.

The body has so many screw-ups it's not funny. I will only be using liquid mask from now on. Here's a pic anyway.

The Black Kat 07-21-2004 09:41 AM

I've had my fair share of screw-ups with masking tape.

BTW: Those Proline stickers are there to cover up some paint bleed-through right? Just take them off, People will notice "Desperate Sticker Placement" more than a spotch in the paint...

That thing looks racy though....The retro racer scheme on a new body looks good.

Cause it says HPI on it does not mean the body is.

The Black Kat - At least once it's moving you won't be able to see all the paint bleeds and the sloppy decal placement.
